I am beginning to do some local readings in support of my new book The Bodhisattva’s Embrace: Dispatches From Engaged Buddhism’s Front Lines. Reviews are coming in and they are very positive. Tyson Casey’s piece in “Turning Wheel” and two thoughtful reviews on book’s the Amazon site.
This coming Friday at 7:30, 14 January at Berkeley Zen Center’s community room (1929 Russell Street) I will be dipping into various stories and pieces from the book. My idea is to read for a while, take questions and comments, then sign books for those who wish to have one. The book is priced at $15, and $5 of that will go as a benefit to Berkeley Zen Center. Hope you are able to come.
On Sunday 16 January, I will also talk at Jikoji Retreat Center, 12100 Skyline Blvd, Los Gatos, CA 95030, phone: (408) 741-9562. Zazen at 10:50, talk at 11:40
